Download the Content Creator Bundle and join the fun! And for those eager to dive deeper, read on to learn how to integrate these elements into your OBS Studio setup.

What You'll Need:

To get started, you'll need a PC or laptop to run your streaming software. We recommend OBS Studio or Streamlabs for a seamless streaming experience. If you plan to capture gameplay from a console, you'll also need a video capture card to send video output to your PC.

Once your streaming software is installed, consider signing up for services like Streamlabs or StreamElements. These platforms offer animated on-screen alerts for new subscribers, follows, and donations, adding an extra layer of engagement.

Capturing Gameplay:

In OBS Studio, scenes are visual templates that organize on-screen elements like picture-in-picture displays, alerts, and graphics. Streamers can quickly switch between gameplay and webcam views for chatting with their audience.

Let's create our first scene! Select the plus icon in the "Scenes" panel and name it "Gameplay.

Next, choose your video source. If you're recording on the same PC, select "Display Capture.
If you're capturing from a console via a capture card, choose "Video Capture Device.

Setting Up a Webcam:

Incorporating a webcam is a great way to connect with your audience. Add your webcam output to your scene and use the Creator Content Bundle's webcam overlay for a polished look.

To add your webcam, select it from the list of available devices. Position and scale it as desired. If you're playing Halo, place it at the upper right of your screen, above the midline, to avoid obstructing HUD elements.

Add a webcam overlay by selecting "Image" from the "Sources" panel. Choose a font like Industry or any heavy sans-serif font to personalize your border with your username.

Building Custom Alerts:

Alerts are an optional but powerful feature. To set them up, create an account with Streamlabs or StreamElements using your Twitch or Kick login. We'll use Streamlabs Desktop for this tutorial.

Once logged in, navigate to the "Alert Box" menu and select "Add Variation.

Configure your alert by enabling it and selecting "Text Over Image" for the layout. Upload the "Stream-Alert-R02" animation file and set the alert duration to 5 seconds. Adjust the "Text Delay" slider as needed.

Upload Halo sound effects from the Content Creator Bundle under the "Sounds" section. For font settings, use Bebas Neue, size 38px, with a font weight of 400. Choose your alert animations, keeping it simple with "Fade In" and "Fade Out" transitions.

Adding Alerts to a Scene:

Save your settings and copy the new alert widget's URL. In OBS Studio, add a "Browser" source named "Alerts.
Paste the URL, set the width to 800 x 600 pixels, and click "OK.
Place your alerts in a suitable location and test them on the Streamlabs site. Play around with the settings to find the perfect look for your stream!

Lobby with Chat:

Now that you've mastered the basics, let's set up a lobby scene with a chat feed. Insert a webcam-output element and upload an image file for your lobby and chat overlay.

To configure your chat feed, go to the Streamlabs dashboard and select "Chat Box.
Customize your chat settings, including blacklisting unpleasant words and disabling chat notifications.

Copy the widget URL and add a new "Browser" source in OBS Studio. Insert the chat widget URL and adjust the element as needed.

Additional Scenes:

Congratulations on setting up your lobby and gameplay scenes! You've learned the basics, and you can now create other scenes with ease.

Configuring Transitions:

To make your stream transitions seamless, consider using the scene transition included in the Silver Anniversary Creator Content Bundle.

Go to the "Scene Transitions" panel in OBS Studio and select "Stinger.
Upload the appropriate video file, select "Time" from the "Transition Type Point" dropdown, and set the "Transition Point" to 1,100 milliseconds.

We recommend using hardware decoding and enabling "Preload to RAM" if your PC has sufficient RAM.

Congratulations!

You're now ready to stream in style! We'll be monitoring community feedback on the content creator bundle throughout the year.

Don't forget to check back on the Silver Anniversary Community Hub for more creator content later this year. Share your ideas, suggest emojis, and join the Halo community on social media and our official Discord server.

Let's celebrate Halo's iconic legacy and vote on community polls to tell the whole Halo story. Whether you're a seasoned Spartan or a Halo rookie, we hope you'll join the fun. #Halo25Together
