Michael Louis Embro, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on January 5th, 2026, at the age of 63. His family and friends mourn his loss, remembering him as a dedicated musician, a devoted family man, and a source of laughter and joy. Born on May 15th, 1962, Mike, as he was affectionately known, lived a life true to his passions. He was a drummer in several bands, most notably as a legendary heavy metal drummer, a title he held with great pride. His musical talents extended beyond the stage, as he spent over 30 years at Owens Corning and the last 8 years at Barzotti Woodworking, demonstrating his dedication to his craft and his career. But his greatest joy came from his family. He was a loving husband to Rosanna (Reginato) for 37 years, a proud father to Nick and Carly, and a cherished Papa to Easton and Sophia. He was also a devoted son to the late Louis and Maria (Drenters) Embro and a loving son-in-law to Adele and the late Nico Reginato. Mike was a beloved brother to Louie, and he predeceased his sister, Fina. He was a beloved uncle to Frankie, Max, Kayla, Jordan, Kristian, Brendan, Adam, Jessica, Julia, and Jaime. His closest friends, Mike Carlo, Mike Campagnolo, John de Souza, and Dave Carlo, will deeply miss his companionship and humor. The visitation will take place at Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Hart Chapel (1099 Gordon St. Guelph) on January 11, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm, and on January 12, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 am in the funeral home chapel. Mike's life will be remembered for his love of music, his strong family ties, and his ability to bring happiness to those around him. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
